Frequently asked questions

Is medical cannabis legal in Brazil?
Yes, with a medical prescription. Anvisa (Brazil's health agency) regulates both pharmacy products and the import of cannabis-based products with a prescription. During the consultation you receive complete guidance on the right path for your case.
Is the digital prescription valid in my city?
Yes. A digital prescription with a valid electronic signature is accepted throughout Brazil, both at pharmacies and in Anvisa procedures.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
The consultation costs R$ 250 and is confirmed after payment via Pix. Follow-up pricing and the rescheduling policy are shared at booking.
Does health insurance cover it?
Consultations are private. Many Brazilian health plans reimburse private consultations — we provide a receipt with everything you need to request yours.
Is telemedicine allowed? Is it safe?
Yes. Telemedicine is regulated by Brazil's Federal Council of Medicine (Resolution CFM 2.314/2022). The video call is private and your clinical data is protected in a secure electronic health record, in line with Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).
Does medical cannabis cause dependence or a 'high'?
Treatments are individualized and, in most cases, use CBD-predominant formulations with low, carefully titrated THC doses when needed — planned for therapeutic effect, not recreation. Risks, side effects and contraindications are discussed openly during the consultation.
I already take other medication. Can I combine them?
That assessment is a central part of the consultation: drug interactions are checked before any prescription, and no ongoing treatment should be stopped without guidance.
What if medical cannabis is not indicated for me?
That happens — and we say so transparently. The consultation is a complete medical assessment: if cannabinoids are not the best path, you leave with guidance on the alternatives suited to your case.
I live outside Brazil. Can I book a consultation?
Yes. Consultations are open to Brazilians living abroad, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Feasibility and scope vary by country — contact us on WhatsApp so we can check your case. Appointment times are always shown in your timezone.
