Conditions we treat
Parkinson's and neurodegenerative diseases
In Parkinson's and the dementias, caring for quality of life — of the patient and the caregiver — is part of the treatment.
What it is
Diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other dementias evolve over years and bring, beyond motor and cognitive symptoms, challenges such as sleep disturbances, agitation, pain and caregiver overload.
Integrative follow-up does not replace the neurologist: it adds — focusing on the symptoms that weigh on daily life and on guiding those who care.
Signs it may be time to seek an assessment
- Stiffness, tremor or slowness limiting the routine
- Agitation, insomnia or day-night reversal
- Loss of appetite and persistent discomfort
- Caregiver overload and questions
How the assessment works
Family members or caregivers can join the consultation — the online format makes it easier to gather everyone. We review current medications, the most burdensome symptoms and the family's priorities.
In selected cases, cannabinoids may be considered as complementary therapy for specific symptoms, always in dialogue with the team already caring for the patient.
Frequently asked questions
Does the patient need to attend the video call?
Whenever possible, yes — but we understand the limitations. Family members and caregivers take an active part, and the format adapts to the patient's condition.
Do you replace the neurologist?
No. This follow-up is complementary and seeks dialogue with the specialists already caring for the patient.
