Endometriosis
Cramps that stop you working are not normal. Endometriosis takes years to diagnose, and the pain does not have to wait for it.
What it is
Endometriosis is the presence of tissue similar to the endometrium outside the uterus. It causes inflammation and pain: typically intense cramps, pelvic pain that persists outside menstruation, pain during sex, and bowel or urinary changes during the menstrual period.
It is common for patients to spend years reaching a diagnosis, told along the way that the pain is normal. It is not normal, and the delay costs quality of life, work and emotional health.

How the assessment works

Cannabinoids may be considered for pain management in selected cases, in line with regulation, as part of a plan that still includes gynaecological care and the other fronts of treatment.

No. Bring the exams and reports you have. The consultation works on pain management and helps organise the next steps of the investigation, if it is still open.
Does this replace surgery or hormonal treatment?
No. It is complementary care centred on pain, and it does not replace the decisions of the gynaecology team following your case.
