Conditions we treat
Menopause
Menopause is not a disease, but the symptoms are real, and living badly with them does not have to be the deal.
What it is
Menopause is the natural end of menstrual cycles, confirmed after twelve months without a period. The transition before it, the climacteric, can last years, and it is during this phase that the most bothersome symptoms usually appear.
The most reported are hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, mood changes, brain fog, joint pain and changes in libido and intimate health. Intensity varies widely from woman to woman.
Signs it may be time to seek an assessment
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Insomnia or fragmented sleep
- Irritability, anxiety or brain fog
- Joint pain that appeared in this phase
How the assessment works
The consultation starts from what most disrupts your life today, not from a generic list. We review history, available test results, sleep, mood, pain and what has already been tried.
The plan is built with you and may involve several fronts. In selected cases cannabinoids may be considered for specific symptoms, such as insomnia or pain, in line with regulation, always in dialogue with the gynaecologist who follows you.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace care with a gynaecologist?
No. It is complementary care focused on symptom management and an integrative view, and it seeks dialogue with the professional already looking after your gynaecological health.
Do I need to bring hormone test results?
Bring what you have, but they are not required to book. Diagnosing menopause is essentially clinical, based on history and the pattern of your cycles.
